ePANDDA end-user Workshop

ePANDDA (Enhancing PAleonotological and Neontological Data Discovery API) is an NSF funded project that will integrate three established and well-supported database initiatives: the Paleobiology Database (PBDB, paleontological, literature based), iDigPaleo (paleontological, specimen based) and iDigBio (neontological, specimen based) via application programming interfaces (APIs) that will create the seamless search and discovery of data among these three partners. This connectivity between modern and fossil, and specimen and literature-based resources does not currently exist. The project will not create a new database, but instead will build linkages that will allow each respective database to query the others and return synthetic data to the user.
